The PROMAX TV Explorer is a great low-cost spectrum analyzer for many applications in satellite communications.

But designed for hand-held use, it’s been a problem to satisfactorily fit the unit into a rack - so we came up with this design.

Made of 2mm thick powder-coated steel in a grey colour matching the Promax, this 3RU high rack-mount solidly holds the unit when mounted in a rack. The Promax is further supported by sitting on a small shelf welded to the front plate.

Accessibility to both the DC power input and SCART connectors is maintained by the specially shaped support brackets.

The supporting brackets align with the existing case holes for the carrying-strap brackets, so no drilling of the Promax for mounting holes is required.

Supplied complete with full fitting instructions and stainless steel hardware for mounting the Promax.

(The only limitation in use is that a space needs to be allowed above the rack-mounted unit to accommodate the RF input connector.)
